Juan Mario “Mayito” Aracil is a Cuban-born producer and recording engineer whose career took shape in Miami's Latin music community. His path joins the instincts of a DJ, the discipline of an engineer and years spent working inside recording rooms.
Early Career
From Hialeah to South Beach.
After moving to the United States at eleven, Juan Mario grew up in Hialeah, Florida. Piano came first, followed by a fascination with DJing and the energy of a room responding to music. By sixteen he was working at Mango's on South Beach, learning how rhythm, sequencing and sound could hold an audience.
Education & Practice
Long nights, early classes.
He continued DJing while studying at Miami-Dade Community College and the University of Miami. The schedule was demanding: late nights at work, early classes and long hours developing a small home studio with support from his family. That room became the practical counterpart to his formal education.
Career
Inside the recording room.
During his engineering studies, Juan Mario met producer and label executive Sergio George. The relationship opened a path into professional recording projects and the wider Latin music industry. The recovered archive associates this period with artists including Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez, Chayanne, Luis Enrique, Ricardo Arjona, Maná and Albita. Individual release roles will be added as source-level verification is completed.
The Studio
A room of his own.
The home setup eventually gave way to GML Recording Studio, described in the legacy archive as a purpose-built Miami facility created with producer and vocal coach Guianko Gomez. The studio became a setting for recording, mixing and production across a broad range of projects.
